Monkey Primary Aortic Fibroblasts
Model: MK-6075
Product Description
Cynomolgus Monkey Primary Aortic Fibroblasts from Cell Biologics are isolated from Cynomolgus Monkey Aortic tissue. Cells are grown in T75 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based coating solution for 2 min and incubated in Cell Biologics’ Culture Complete Growth Medium generally for 3-7 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells at passage 1 are detached from flasks and immediately cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains at least 0.5x106 cells per ml.
Product Testing
Cynomolgus Monkey Primary Aortic Fibroblasts from Cell Biologics are tested for negative expression of von Willebrand Factor Expression/Factor VIII, cytokeratin 18, and alpha smooth muscle actin. Cells are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi and mycoplasma. Cells can be expanded for 3-5 passages at a split ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 under the cell culture conditions specified by Cell Biologics. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.
Laboratory Applications
Cynomolgus Monkey Primary Aortic Fibroblasts can be used for the assay of cell-cell interaction, adhesion, PCR, Western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescent flow cytometry, or generating cell derivatives for desired research applications.

C57BL/6 Mouse Primary Aortic Endothelial Cells
Model: C57-6052
Product Description
C57BL/6 Mouse Primary Aortic Endothelial Cells from Cell Biologics are isolated from the aortic tissues of pathogen-free laboratory mice. Cells are grown in T25 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based solution for 2 min and incubated in Cell Biologics’ Culture Complete Growth Medium for 3-7 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells at passage 3 are detached from flasks and immediately cryopreserved in vials. Each vial contains 1×106 cells per ml. The method we use to isolate primary endothelial cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. These cells are pre-coated with PECAM-1 antibody, following the application of magnetic beads pre-coated with secondary antibody.
Product Testing
C57BL/6 Mouse Primary Aortic Endothelial Cells are tested for expression of markers using antibody, VE-cadherin (CD144, VE-cadherin Antibody, C-19, sc6458, from Santa Cruz); AF1002 from R&D System or CD31/PECAM-1 (Purified Rat Anti-Mouse CD31, Catalog No. 553370, from BD) by immunofluorescence staining or FACS. Cells are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. Cells can be expanded for 3-7 passages at a split ratio of 1:2 under the cell culture conditions specified by Cell Biologics. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.
Laboratory Applications
C57BL/6 Mouse Primary Aortic Endothelial Cells can be used in assays of cell to cell adhesion, migration, vascular tube formation. Standard biochemical procedures performed with endothelial cell cultures include RT-PCR, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescent staining, immunofluorescent flow cytometry, or generating cell derivatives for desired research applications.

Antibiotic/Antimycotic Solution (1:100)
Model: 6920
Antibiotic-Antimycotic Solution – 100 ML (100X)
Catalog Number: 6920
Description
Antibiotic-Antimycotic is used to prevent bacterial and fungal contamination. The combination of the antibiotics penicillin and streptomycin are used to prevent bacterial contamination of cell cultures due to their effective action against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, respectively. Amphotericin B is used to prevent fungal contamination of cell cultures due to its inhibition of multi-cellular fungus and yeas.
Penicillin was originally purified from the fungus Penicillium and acts by interfering directly with the turnover of the bacteria cell wall and indirectly by triggering the release of enzymes that further alter the cell wall. Streptomycin was originally purified from Streptomyces griseus. Streptomycin acts by binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome leading to inhibition of protein synthesis and death in susceptible bacteria. Amphotericin B is an antifungal agent that prevents the growth of fungi and yeast by causing an increase in fungal plasma membrane permeability.
Formulation
Contains 10,000 units of penicillin (base), 10,000 ug of streptomycin (base), and 25 ug of amphotericin B/ml utilizing penicillin G (sodium salt), streptomycin sulfate, and amphotericin B as Antimycotic in 0.85% saline
Storage Condition
Store the solution at -20°C.
Shipping
Ice Pack.
