C57BL/6 Mouse Hepatocytes (in Suspension)

Product Description

C57BL/6 Mouse Hepatocytes are derived from the liver of pathogen-free laboratory adult mice. Prior to shipping, cells are immediately cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains 2x10⁶ cells and is delivered frozen. Cells are tested for expression of markers, using antibody, ZO-1 by Immunofluorescence Staining and negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. Cells can be expanded on a multiwell culture plate ready for experiments under the cell culture conditions specified by Cell Biologics.

Product Testing

C57BL/6 Mouse Hepatocytes are characterized by immunofluorescent staining with antibodies of E-cadherin (Catalog 610182, from BD), ZO-1 (Catalog 617300, from Life Technology). Cells are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. Cells can be expanded for 3-7 passages at a split ratio of 1:2 under the cell culture conditions specified by Cell Biologics. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.

Laboratory Applications

C57BL/6 Mouse Hepatocytes can be used for the assay of cell-cell interaction, adhesion, PCR, Western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescent flow cytometry, or generating cell derivatives for desired research applications.

Storage of Cell Biologics’ Products

Cell Biologics ships frozen cells on dry ice. On receipt, immediately transfer frozen cells to liquid nitrogen (-180 °C) until ready for experimental use. Live cell shipment is also available on request. Primary cells should never be kept at -20 °C.
