Description
Embryonic Fibroblast Medium is a complete medium designed for the culture of human and animal embryonic fibroblasts. It was tested and optimized with human, mouse, and rat embryonic fibroblast growth and proliferation in vitro. It is formulated for use with 5% CO2 and 95% air in a humidified incubator. The medium consists of 500 ml of basal medium (containing essential and non-essential amino acids, vitamins, organic and inorganic compounds, hormones, growth factors, trace minerals), supplemented with fibroblast cell growth supplement, antibiotics, and fetal bovine serum.
Cell Culture Medium Supplements include:
- 50.0 ML FBS
- 5.0 ML NEAA (MEM Non-Essential Amino Acids Solution)
- 5.0 ML L-Glutamine
-5.0 ML Penicillin-Streptomycin
*Before use, add Supplements into 435ML DMEM basal medium. For human pluripotent stem cell culture, the Pen/Step could be eliminated.
Storage Condition
Store 500 ml basal medium at 2-6°C. Store cell growth factors, supplements, fetal bovine serum (FBS) and antibiotics at -20°C. The complete cell culture medium with Supplements can be kept in 4°C for two months. Protect from light.
To assure sterility, the prepared medium should be sterilized by filtration through a 0.2 µm filter.
