Product Description

Rat Hepatic Stellate Cells are derived from the liver of 8 weeks old Sprague–Dawley Rats. Prior to shipping, cells are immediately cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains 0.5 x106 cells and is delivered frozen. Rat Hepatic Stellate Cells are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. Rat Hepatic Stellate Cells are tested by immunofluorescent staining with antibodies of a-actin. Cells can be expanded for 2-3 passages at a split ratio of 1:2 under the cell culture conditions specified by Cell Biologics. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.

Laboratory Applications

Rat Hepatic Stellate Cells can be used in standard biochemical procedures include PCR, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, ROS, or cell derivatives for desired research applications.
